Oblivion Frames Festival – Official Rules & Guidelines
At Oblivion Frames Festival, we celebrate films that capture fleeting moments, explore memory, and challenge the passage of time. To ensure a fair and inspiring experience for all participants, we have established the following rules and guidelines.
Original Works & Copyright Compliance
All submitted films must be the original work of the entrant. Any unauthorized use of copyrighted material, including unlicensed music, footage, or scripts, will result in immediate disqualification. Filmmakers are responsible for securing all necessary rights and permissions for any third-party content used in their projects.
Public Screening & Festival Rights
By submitting your film, you grant the Oblivion Frames Festival the non-exclusive right to screen your work publicly if selected. This includes in-person festival screenings as well as potential online showcases, always with full credit to the filmmaker. All rights to the film remain with the original creators.
Submission Format & Technical Requirements
All films must be submitted in a high-quality digital format. We do not accept physical copies such as DVDs or Blu-rays. Preferred formats include MP4 (H.264 codec) or MOV with a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 (Full HD).
Multiple Submissions & Entry Fees
Filmmakers are welcome to submit multiple films; however, each submission requires a separate entry fee. There are no limits to the number of entries per participant, as long as each film aligns with the festival’s theme and submission guidelines.
Language & Subtitles
Films that are not originally in English must include English subtitles. Submissions without subtitles may not be considered unless the lack of dialogue is intentional and aligns with the film’s artistic vision.
Refund Policy
All submission fees are non-refundable, regardless of whether a film is selected. Once a submission is made, no exceptions will be granted.
